IT Primer I is the Basic training program for the Punjab Government employees. This is the IT awareness training program to make employees IT literate. The department has also initiated the IT Primer I program for IAS/IPS/IFS/PCS/PPS officers of the state. The main topics covered under IT Primer I are: Overview & Computer Systems, Windows Operating System, PC Set-up,   Internet, Word Processing, Multimedia Presentation.   

IT primer II is the advanced Training program for the employees who are implementing various computerization projects in their respective departments. This will train the employees in the use of office productivity tools, including MS office and internet connectivity. The main topics covered under IT Primer II are: Overview Information Storage: Record Keeping, Archiving, Computer Systems,   Applications Areas,  Introduction to Data Processing,  Spread Sheet Management ,    PC Set-up , Internet,  Multimedia Presentation , Data Interchange
